The Highwater Preachers
The Highwater Preachers
The Highwater Preachers (known until now as Slam Hoss) have been raising eyebrows in the burgeoning local bluegrass scene with their fresh takes on classic mountain songs, incorporating precision picking and soulful vocal harmony. Led by the remarkably accomplished Sarah Larsen on fiddle, this troupe of young pickers (featuring members of Sour Mash, the David Wax Museum, and the White Bark Pine) carries the torch of hard-driving traditional bluegrass music.
Red Skiles & The Country Ramblers
Red Skiles' Country Ramblers will be performing classic country songs from the likes of Merle Haggard, Roger Miller and Willie Nelson. Combining country staples such as the pedal steel guitar and vocal harmony with the uptown sounds of the Wurlitzer piano, the group strikes the perfect blend of "Countrypolitan " sophistication and Bakersfield twang. Irresistibly infectious--not to be missed!! Featuring members of the Amos Lee band and other genre-hopping Philly stalwarts.
DJ Breakfast (Jonas T. Oesterle)
DJ Breakfast (AKA Jonas T. Oesterle), of Bouffant Bangout notoriety, will be spinning classic 1950's and 60's soul, motown, and early rock 'n roll after the mics to keep the dance floor hot after the mics cool down.
