Philly For Bernie Sanders Concert
Philly For Bernie Sanders Concert
Back by poplar demand after a sold out first show! There are a growing number of Philadelphians getting very excited about Bernie Sanders. So much so that a few of us have decided to hold a series of concerts to raise funds for his presidential campaign and celebrate his efforts to tackle many of the crucial issues facing everyday Americans (not to mention his willingness to campaign without contributions from any corporations or lobbyists whatsoever). It will also be a super good time!

Featuring a great lineup of local acts curated by Philly pop/experimental outfit Son Step, words of wisdom and organizing tips from some of the city's most ardent Bernie supporters, and excellent food/drink served up by B&S.

Tickets (both advance and at the door) are $10, and in compliance with FEC guidelines, 100% of the profits (after venue expenses) will be personally donated to the campaign by the event organizers. For those of you that would like to give more, we will also be providing and collecting individual donation envelopes given to us by the campaign. If you plan on attending we strongly recommend purchasing advance tickets. This is likely to sell out! Please note that Boot & Saddle is not an all ages venue, so you must be 21 or older to attend. Performances from:
Tutlie
Tutlie
Called "one of Philly's most imaginative bands" by Philadelphia's WXPN, Tutlie carries both the dark and the light in equal measure. Formed by Jessie Radlow in 2010 while attending college in West Chester, Pennsylvania, the band has seen many lineup shifts on the path to refining the vision Radlow first set forth. In 2012, producers Drew Taurisano and Asher Brooks joined the outfit as they began to demo what would eventually become the bands 2014 debut LP Young Cries.

Young Cries, described as "expressive and expansive" by WXPN, is a far-reaching sonic experience, marrying the unique and exceptional songwriting of Radlow with the immersive production and texture as developed by the band and it's producers Taurisano and Brooks. Simply stated by Performer Mag, Young Cries is "smart, intricate chamber pop that will challenge your imagination."
Son Step
Son Step
Son Step is a unique collaborative effort based in Philadelphia, comprised of twin brothers Jon and Chris Coyle (vocals/synthesizers and bass), Joel Gleiser (vocals/electronics), and Matt Scarano (percussion). In the business of importing/exporting off-kilter moods, dense & joyful rhythms, euphoric question marks for the ears, etc.
Tinmouth
Somewhere beyond Missed Connections and Casual Encounters, unreformed romantics still pine for an origin myth.

Born in the wake of bygone bands and bedroom tapes, tinmouth constructs a sound both sophisticated and playful, which feels inviting at its roots of genre-bending weirdo worship.

Neither abandoning nor wallowing in the past, the Philadelphia trio "both distills and pays tribute to classic rock tropes, creating something exciting and warmly familiar." (WXPN's The Key)

While the melodies will stick in your brain, the playing is all heart, as evinced in their thrilling live performances. Outgrowing without forsaking their lo-fi beginnings, tinmouth recorded their debut album sayswith notable producer Jeff Zeigler (Kurt Vile, The War on Drugs, A Sunny Day in Glasgow).
