Grandchildren
Grandchildren
Since their first release, Everlasting (2010), Grandchildren have evolved from pioneers of Philadelphia’s burgeoning DIY scene into a musical powerhouse known for their unique cinematic blend of pop, folk and electronica. A product of a nomadic coming of age across three continents, frontman Aleks Martray settled in Philly to form a family of musicians that brought to life his eclectic sound - Roman Salcic (drums), John Vogel (synth), Russell Brodie (bass), and Adam Katz (guitar). Their next two records took them from the symphonic Golden Age (2013) to the pop-driven ZUNI (2015). After attaining road warrior status through several US tours and sharing the stage with such bands as Man Man, O’Death, and Thievery Corporation, the group went back into the studio in search of a sound that would capture the raw unbridled energy of their live shows. The result is their new single Phantom Pains, a dark and soulful requiem for love lost that digs deep into the band’s emotional core and orchestral sensibilities. The track features the soulful harmonies of female vocalist Shari Bolar in her debut as the newest Grandchild.
Yip Deceiver
Yip Deceiver
Athens GA's original "two man boy band" Yip Deceiver continue their Vandrossian pursuits of synth pop while stealing the hearts of fans worldwide. The bands 2014 album, Medallius on New West Records was traded widely despite it's sleepy reception in the homeland. Recent collaborations with producer Harlan Silverman on the track "Red Line" and a feature on Electric Six' cover of Fleetwood Mac's classic "Everywhere" serve as Spring lead ups to the second album due out Fall 2015.

For the new effort Davey and Dobby mutate from indie dance duo into rock n roll aliens. Embracing their fetish for expressive synth texture while re-introducing live ingredients for breathing room. Sonic seasoning to the discerning listener. Cooked up in Georgia and served around the world as a delicacy. Too personal for pop and too mechanical for art, YPD maintain an open relationship with rhetoric and simply offer the modern droid a brief escape from cognition through sweet mystery.
Stereo League
Stereo League is the work of Philadelphia based songwriter Alexander Savoth. Having performed both solo and with various backing bands, Savoth writes melody-driven guitar rock with an ethereal edge. His most recent material is a collection of experimental and psychedelic rock and roll, which he has written over the past few years. He is currently gearing up to record Stereo League's debut record
