Psychic Teens
Psychic Teens
Written during a flurry of creativity immediately following the completion of their last LP, PSYCHIC TEENS return with HEX: a five song EP that showcases their unique blend of post-punk, goth, shoegaze, and noise rock. With HEX, PSYCHIC TEENS set to capture the sensory overload of their live show -- colossal guitars and ear-piercing volume --and combine it with the gloomy mood they have brought on their previous three LPs.
Ladder Devils
Ladder Devils
Ladder Devils, formed in 2009 are a noisy rock outfit from Philadelphia, PA, consisting of former members of The Minor Times and Marigold. Their first songs appeared on a 3-way split with fellow noise bretheren Fight Amp and Kowloon Walled City. Shortly after that, they released their debut EP, Forget English, on October 2010 as a free download. The EP was immediately well received and garnered them attention from the punk/hardcore and indie communities alike. The band is putting the finishing touches on a new EP for release in early 2012 and are currently writing for their debut full length
Faking
Faking
Ruthless and machine stamped from the same kind of sonic foundry that used to produce menacing flyover state noise rock. An alloy of the rudest abrasive mathy angularity found in the nineties Amrep and Touch & Go camps, harkening back to an era of uncorrupted sonic battery. And Faking does it without the self-conscious sneer of retro-scene boot-licking – these men know the world of which they speak, this trio having been assembled out of the wreckage of seminal PA noise rock bands Gunna Vahm and Midiron Blast Shaft (both Reptilian alums).

The crunchy buzz saw riffs hammer down with calculated repetition and bleed into reverb drenched seasick leads. The vocals invoke threat, like a crime scene report read aloud long after an urgent warning wasn’t received. Thunderous rolling bass. Truly massive drums. The right kind of nastiness for the wrong kind of people. Full length album due in 2015.
