Church Girls
Church Girls
Church Girls is a female-led group from Philadelphia. The four-piece released their first single “Young Planes” in summer 2014 to local acclaim. Their latest release Thousand Lives, produced by Brian McTear (Dr. Dog, Marissa Nadler), echoes their debut EP’s “personal, honest and direct rock songs” (John Vettese, WXPN), but displays a more mature sound, with a range of folk and punk influences bound together by dark, brooding guitars.
Sonnder
Sonnder
Sonnder is an experimental indie rock band based out of Philadelphia, PA. Fronted by lead singer and songwriter Ryan Weidman, Sonnder also consists of keyboardist Kat Stein, bassist Steve Iannettoni, and drummer Mike Liszka. Sonnder released their debut EP entitled “Thief" in the summer of 2014 allowing them to expand their reach farther across the northeastern United States including air play from Philly's Radio 104.5. The band is currently in the midst of a year long singles project in which each month of 2015 will yield a brand new song available through the band’s website and all online music distributors, leading towards the release of their debut full length "Entanglement" in the spring of 2016. The project has continued to help the band gain more and more notoriety with radio air play from the city's top radio stations and numerous writes ups from radio journalists, blogs, and more. All singles associated with the project have received critical acclaim. Specifically, The January, February, and June singles “Drifter," "Backwards Ambition," and "Siren Calling" received noteworthy air time and write ups from WXPN’s The Key. Sonnder recently has shared the stage with bands such The Dear Hunter & Northern Faces at one of Philadelphia’s most prominent venues, Union Transfer. Overall, Sonnder plans to continue to stay positive and honest, pushing themselves artistically while broadening their horizons.
Emmett Drueding & The Sons Of El
Roots music (blues, Gospel) infused with punk-esk strumming patterns, and coarse (at times) and yet sweet vocals in all the right places. Violence and tranquility all in one. Philly furry and country love in harmony.
