Canon Logic
Canon Logic
Brooklyn-based and with the right formula for main stream success, Canon Logic is performing their mix of alternative pop/rock sound all over New York state. A four piece with a true indie DIY attitude, the band is writing incredibly catchy songs reminiscent of bands like FUN., Bastille, The Temper Trap & Local Natives. Their soaring instrumentals, spirited vocals, happy hand claps, and uplifting lyrics are what you can expect to find in their latest release, WYLD.

The album includes “Runaway” which recently won the 2014 Unsigned Only’s Music Competition, judged by music veterans like John Oates (Hall & Oates), Robert Smith (The Cure), Black Francis (The Pixies), amongst other all-star music acts. The band has been releasing content steadily with official and lyric videos for “IBOK,” “Mountain,” and “Crocodile,” all the while making stops at Daytrotter and SXSW. Catch them bringing their undeniable foot-stomping energy in the usual NYC suspect venues like Mercury Lounge, Pianos, Brooklyn Bowl, etc.

Prowler
Colossal, spaced-out basement boogie from the land of Philadelphia.
Futurebrite
Futurebrite was written on the wall, literally. That's where singer and multi-instrumentalist Karen Kanan Corrêa (Demander) found the moniker for her collaboration with producer/re-mixer Josh Grant (aka Chuck Buckett). The Futurebrite Part I EP, available on June 11th, is the first of three to be released in 2013-2014 and draws inspiration from their shared fondness for the beat-heavy 80's and bright melodies.

After a fateful meeting on an airplane in 2009, Karen and Josh became fast friends. At the time both stayed in their own musical spheres in New York City. Karen's "dizzyingly addictive" (CMJ) indie rock three-piece Demander was touring Europe and the U.S. with The Hold Steady, New Model Army, and Art Brut, while also finishing their second full-length album. Josh was working in the studio with legendary DJ Sasha and doing production for electronic rock quartet Deluka, while also turning out his own remixes for the likes of Ke$ha, Britney Spears, and 2AM Club under the moniker Chuck Buckett. In 2012, after Karen had finished touring the US as bassist for Swedish Grammy-winning rocker Moneybrother and singing on releases from UK artist Gary Go and Baltimore-based Fulton Lights, they finally teamed up in Josh's studio overlooking the East River in Brooklyn to start recording the first Futurebrite EP. Within the year they had an EP mixed by Alex Aldi (Passion Pit, Bruno Mars) and performances from New York to California. The duo deliver the hooky and sweet Part I EP on June 11th, 2013.
